Plans for the weekend

Do you also have that work/study-related stresses that bleeds into your precious Saturday and Sunday and you had totally forgot how to relax? Sometimes, for me, it’s just too hard not to work  24/7 days in the week. It’s all most becoming a habit or I must say a lifestyle.  On the one hand, I’m committed in being mindful and creating balance in my life. On the other hand, I have a lot of dreams and goals and I enjoy giving my all to pursuing them.
I’ve decided that what’s most important is not to create a black and white understanding of which days I work and which days I don’t, but instead, to be sure I have sufficient time for play and to focus on fully enjoying it. When I have gaps in activity, I feel a natural pull towards my laptop, partly because I enjoy my work as an editor and partly because it’s habitual. It helps me to relax but still I have also other important stuff to do. That’s not to say you need to be doing something all day but hey I also can’t help it when I really get caught up into the blogging world all day. I just want to say that it might help to commit blocks of time such as some quality time with some friend, exercise, watching a movie, or anything else you would like to do. The simple act of planning something might make it easier to fully commit. Oh well it’s also something that I have to work on:)
How about you, do you have the same habits?

Ik denk dat het sowieso al heel fijn werkt als je volledig achter je baan staan en er veel plezier in beleefd (: Mooie ketting ook!

I feel that what works for one person may not work for another. In the end, the definition of a balanced life is so relative. I cherish my weekends because I work a lot during the "regular week" but I also may not have the same kind of work agenda as others. I can only work during M-F because that is when the people I need to work with can work. So, I can only do so much on my own during a weekend. I'm not a person to say what's wrong or right anyway. Time is so fleeting and I can't say enough how quickly it passes and to cherish everything. =)

    Beautiful pictures !

Working 24/7 days in the week is also a habit for me. Sometimes I'm too stressed to let things go but I try to change my mind with sport or friends :)

Have a lovely week end !

I have the nack to not do any work in the weekend, which is pretty bad. But that's a resolution of this year, work more but when resting-than just actually rest.

Mooi gesproken!
