La Mamounia of Marrakech is awarded as the world’s best hotel in the UK travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller’s. The IVG team got the pleasure being invited by the La Mamounia 5 star hotel, symbol of traditional Moroccan hospitality. Located in the heart of the imperial city, nestled in a 17 acre park, 5 minutes walk from the Jemaa El Fna square, will remain the place to be for worldwide celebrities. The prestige suite
Situated on the middle floors of the hotel or at the far end of the building, the four Prestige suites, in a contemporary, sophisticated and welcoming style, offer panoramic views over the legendary gardens and the Atlas Mountains. A welcoming cocktail, local delicacies and a welcome pack full of sophisticated products greeted us.  We even got a VIP (Fast Track) welcome upon our arrival at Marrakech Ménara airport!

The suite was a dream. The decoration is very detailed and eye catching. The rooms have traditional marrocan decoration. The wood, plaster and the use of marble are just amazing. And yet the room has all the technology you need. The diming lights are a nice function to set the right mood. Not to miss the lunch by the pool! The pool area is well laid out, with plenty of availability of sun loungers and an abundance of staff to help with anything you want. The grounds are a quiet oasis of calm. From 22th of March to the 21th of June, holders of the Spring Day Pass will have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning facilities at the hotel, including taking a dip in its beautiful swimming pool, playing a game of tennis or heading to its fitness pavilion for a workout.

La Mamounia also received several celebrities! Can’t believe that we had the same dinner as Orlando Bloom when he was here to celebrate Thanksgiving with his girlfriend Miranda Kerr. A dinner at Le Marocain restaurant is HIGHLY recommended.  Located in a Riad right in the middle of the park Le Marocain offers exceptionally opulent décor. Considered as one of the best restaurant in Marrakech. Totally enjoyed the fine cuisine combining tradition and modernity, here the chef lets you choose from a traditional menu or a contemporary one. The Gastronomic Restaurant open every evening from 7 to 11 pm. Make sure to wear something smart and elegant!

 La Mamounia Marrakech

The name of La Mamounia can be traced back to the eighteenth century. Its story starts with the King Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah who was customary to offer his sons, as a wedding gift, a house and a garden located outside the Kasbah. The magnificent remaining garden of such royal registrar combined with its 8 acres of ground and marvelous flora has the effect of leaving guests utterly delighted with all that they see. From the beginning, La Mamounia proved itself to be a true monument combining the traditional Moroccan architecture with the Art Deco style.

Hereby we can confirm that this place is truly magical. Special thanks to the great Staff of La Mamounia for making this holiday a true fairytail. La Mamounia is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in the world. From the magnificent suites to the impeccable service, you will not be disappointed. This hotel should be on everyone’s list.
