Paris for the weekend
On Friday we headed to Paris! Hôtel La Demeure is housed in an elegant Haussmannian building in Paris’s legendary Latin Quarter and has been entirely redecorated by two young designers, Flavie Papin and Paul Jouan. Their innovative approach created unusual, pleasing spaces that are practical, beautiful and full of light. This family-run 3-star establishment offers you a warm welcome and a totally unique experience, particularly in the remarkable themed suites. I had to pleasure to stay in the Suite Cinéma via Snaptraveller Friday night. This superb suite is laid out so you can watch films from your projection lounge, with projector and screen and a choice of 120 films to pick on the iPad loaned with the suite. This is what we call the good life! Before we crashed here we decided to have a little Paris by night tour. Sightseeing the Eiffel tower and Moulin Rouge.
On Saturday we hopped to the the heart of Le Marais in the Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, 1er Étage is the perfect base for visitors wishing to explore world-famous sites such as the Marais district, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Châtelet, the Beaubourg Modern Art Museum or the famous Saint-Germain and Saint-Michel districts.
1er Étage is a new concept in Paris that combines the comfort of a refined hotel and the charm of an authentic Parisian apartment. The decoration in 1er Étage is a sophisticated mixture of vintage (from the 50s) and contemporary design furniture. Thanks to Snaptraveller we found this very convenient located hotel.
On Sunday we had lunch at the lovely place La Mascotte before we headed to Tokyo Palais to check out the Inside exposition. La Mascotte is a typical brasserie decorated with mirrors and marquetry executed in an art-deco style. Yes a totally must to visit this place to enjoy some typical french lunch. Last but not least a selfie at the Eiffel tower before saying goodbye to Paris!
Bisous!
